Y’all haven’t been waiting long, have you?

 April 3-7

The drywall is up, we can see the floor plan & now we start to get creative. I say we. I mean Steve and the guys.

The dining room & that very very old original ceiling

Yet another very old original wall, with new door framing

Well, look at what we have here. Steve is cleaning my living room.

My shower- go big or go home

New attic access. Plus, another original wall.

My contribution to the Reno - I’m stripping this old dressing table for a unique spin

Got all that old nasty, sticky varnish off. It was truly disgusting. The end result won’t be in this post so stay tuned for the finished project.

The back deck. The original plan was a huge screened in porch, but the foundation said that was not to be. Due to necessary budget cuts, we backed down to a nice deck. Will it ever become a screened in porch? Eh, who knows. I’ve learned to love my front porch, even with all the traffic sounds.

It’s a nice sized deck, so it is possible to put chairs and make an enjoyable space.

I love the railing, matching the direction of the siding. It all ties together very nicely.

“Guys, I’m going to need some exposed beams. They don’t have to be fancy.” My wish was their command.

My absolute favorite original late 1800’s wall. All that beautiful lumber, perfectly preserved. I go to sleep looking at this gorgeous wall, every night. If it could only talk and tell me what all it’s witnessed!
