Bunny Tails

Foundation rebuild continues

These are some of the rocks the house was originally sitting on. The foundation crew removed them, once they had the new piers in place and stacked them outside. They were guessing I would want them to do something with, at a later date. They stacked them beside the back steps. We attempted to pick those up, a few weeks later and move them, in one piece, but they shattered. There was a little mortar and a lot of sand holding them together.

More piers across the front of the house. If you haven’t guessed, most of the work was done from the inside. Most people didn’t even notice the house was under major renovation.

Outside the spare bedroom - everything is looking good or is it?

Working on the foundation beneath the porch room.

I don’t know why this is making the Easter bunny story come to mind. Back when the Galleria Mall first opened, mom took Abbie there, for what, I don’t know. Probably more clothes that she didn’t need. It was coming up on Easter and as we were walking through the mall, the Easter bunny came walking by. Next thing we knew, there went Abbie running up behind the Easter bunny and grabbing it by the tail.

Over the years, I’ve often questioned why we never needed bail money. This was one of those times!
